Partnership Perspective: Denver Leadership Exchange viewed as best yet

For the sixth consecutive year, the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber convened a delegation of leaders to explore a competitive region and capture ideas that could strengthen our regional economy. The 75 business and community leaders who visited Denver on the Chamber’s September Leadership Exchange agree that Denver exemplifies the trip’s theme of “Collaboration Across Boundaries.”

The Employers First Regional Workforce Network training portal is designed to assist regional employers in locating training providers and local college and university graduates quickly and easily. Employers can use the portal starting today to find training services to assist their employees or find specific certified or degreed workers for hire by searching regional educational programs and providers.

Partnership Update: Internship program seeks to build talented workforce for Ohio businesses

The goal of the Ohio Third Frontier Internship Program is to develop a pool of talented workers for Ohio’s businesses and create enriching student work experiences. This dynamic, focused program positions Ohio to develop and retain technologies in the state that require educated and skilled workers. Students in the program gain hand-on experiences related to their field of study, while companies supporting these internships are partially compensated for wages paid during an internship.

Building Value

What started as a social enterprise for Easter Seals Work Resource Center turned into much more. After a year of research on deconstruction and reuse centers, Jerry Janszen presented his business plan, won an award, and now runs Building Value. Building Value deconstructs buildings and saves up to 85 percent of what would otherwise be demolished and put in a landfill.
